Incredibly weird dreams on Setraline even months later

I don't take it right before bed, either. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm on 50mg.
Sometimes they're nightmares, last night I dreamt that I was on a TV show where I was due to marry a 21 year-old colleague of mine (I'm 33) and when I gently let him down he burst into tears, so I changed my mind.
All of my other colleagues were there.
Then there was a Liverpool Vs United game on so the whole of Liverpool were pretty much out in the beer gardens and so on as I walked through town.
I then walked past a house which had a plaque at the front stating it had been my friend's mother's first ever home. Just up the road I saw said friend and her fiancé sitting outside having a pint, and explained to them. For some reason I took my shoes off.
I then decided to write my former crush/work friend who's already rejected me and email saying I think he's absolutely gorgeous and cute.
He then came over to the bench where I was sitting and spoke to my colleague next to me but completely blanked me.
This was all last night, it's like this every night 🤣 they're always so vivid.

Yeah I had awful nightmares! My whole experience with sertraline was horrible. Had to wean off very gradually

I'm so sorry to hear :( I hope you've found a better solution for you now.

I take it in the morning, not had any dreaming issues. The only side effect for me is thirst, but not a problem.

I had to come off it after 6 months of lucid nightmares, jaw tension/pain and no orgasms.

Have since found my perfect SSRI in Escitalopram.

Sertraline is well known for vivid dreams..
My dreams are usually pleasant ( rare odd one isnt).
My friend when first put on them kept dreaming she was unfaithful.. we laughed about it because she is a Mormon and devoted to her husband.
I've been on sertraline 10 years and the dreams haven't stopped.

Thank you everyone, it's definitely food for thought.
It has made me so much calmer than I used to be, I can't remember the last time I got incredibly angry. Still get down sometimes especially around that time of the month, but people comment on how I'm chilled out which is great.
I'll try to take it only in the mornings and see if that helps.

I take it at lunchtime and have periods of vivid dreams a lot, but I've always been a big dreamer and sleep very well. I enjoy the dreams! Some of them are quite apocalyptic but I like the epicness of them
