Water Pik help

My dentist suggested I get a Water Pik which I have done but am really struggling to get the hang of it. I am also finding it fairly painful and my teeth / gums ache painfully afterwards. I don’t know if it is because of cold water or the force. I haven’t dared use it on some of my most sensitive teeth and gums. Any words of wisdom would be great. Thanks

I use warm water, I've had mine for months and still make a mess somtimes, it's like a jetwash 😂

Can you use warm tap water or do you have to boil water in the kettle?

In which case, it’s nothing to do with using a water flosser. Everyone’s gums bleed the first few times they floss. When you use traditional floss for the first time, the stuff coming from between your teeth smells like poop. I have been a daily/twice-daily flosser for 20 years but still remember the smell from the very first time.

Yep it's vile. I have flossed on and off but can only really get the front teeth properly. I got the water flosser for my dodgy wisdom tooth flap that the crud was getting stuck in 🤮 works amazingly well though

Incredibly vile! I am actually cross with myself for only buying the water flosser 5 months ago. I wish I’d bought one years ago! I even take it if I go on an overnight trip.

I just use warm tap water or fill in the shower if I remember to take it in with me

It depends on your hot water tank really. In an older house, you should probably boil the kettle but I can never be arsed.
