I didn't mix the butter well enough and it's gone all speckly ,the top will be fine as I have that covered but how can I fix the sides?
No time for a ship trip for chocolate fingers or kitkats.
Pleas help! 😫

Just use the tip of a sharp knife and pick the blobs out, then re-smooth. It will look fine.

Do you have enough butter, cocoa and icing sugar to make more butter icing, and put a second thin layer on top?

Any ribbons lying about?

Ride it out! They are gold flecks!

I am really hoping that you have mini eggs and are making a chocolate nest cake and I can have some 😋

Jam and desiccated coconut or hundreds and thousands.

Ribbon and a bow.

Home made cake band, made from foil or wrapping paper or voile.
