Do other people’s moods affect you?

I pick up on them and it’s annoying, as it affects how I’m feeling and what my mood is like.

If my colleague seems stressed I will take it personally and go home feeling stressed. If my DH feels flat then I feel flat too. Same goes for happy moods, too!

Does anyone know how to stop being so affected?

I feel you I am totally the same, The one I feel the most is if someone is unhappy or angry etc my default thought is that it must be something I have done, it pretty much never is but then when the situation arises again it all repeats and I appear to have learned nothing. It's by far the hardest thing I find about working with people, my sensitivity radar is always on looking for signals off people.

As of yet I've found no answer although as I get older I'm getting a little better at thinking, oh well if they don't like me duck em.
