I thought I saw a brief cut to the result of the men's reserves, and Oxford got it. But that was over my shoulder as I left to get a cuppa, so don't rely on me!

One of the Oxford crew saying that Oxford hit by e. coli and he'd been throwing up that morning. That's pretty bombshell stuff.

Not enough has been made of this, IMO.

The team were sick because there is too much sewage in the Thames for it to be safe, because we live in a country where rain is a frequent and normal weather event and yet the water companies use it as an excuse to pump our rivers and oceans full of shit. Actual shit being pumped out by the billions of gallons - into rivers used by wildlife and humans.

This should have been a key story from today: the setting for the Boat Race is toxic and has made the rowers unwell.

Just caught up with the thread. The Oxford cox really was quite angry when he was talking to the umpire. However, the commentaries felt that Cambridge were in the right.

Clear win for the Men’s team.

Even if their tummy bugs weren't e. coli from the river, it's not conditions they should be having to worry about and I'm glad it was highlighted.

I watch mudlark videos and they root around in the Thames without any gloves!
