Has anyone installed electric heating such as Fischer?

if you did and don’t mind sharing, how big is your house and how much did it cost? We’ve had a £9k estimate to upgrade our oil heating which we can’t afford. Wondering if electric might be cheaper. It seems to have come a long way since storage heating.

We are off grid so gas is not an option.

Bumping as I was also looking into this.

Hi OP, I set this 'to watch' as I want replace my storage heaters. Disappointed that you didn't get any replies. I have definitely read posts on here re the new electric panel heaters/not storage but storage heaters. Maybe worth a search? Good luck. Very annoying to be so limited in our potential choices.

I had them out for 1 heater in 1 room, they quoted over £2k, I laughed them out of the house and got a sparky to fit an electric wall hung heater instead.

I’ve used Fischer and really rate their heaters but didn’t piece meal as replacing storage heaters - about the r same price like for like c£1k pe heater but MUCH more efficient. Just be mindful that they use sub contractors for the installation and all bar one installed them incorrectly on the economy 7/10 so it was using electric at twice the cost.

Thank you. I did a quick search for some old posts in the subject. There are a few there to read.
