We have both nearby but different directions
I love Aldi veg fruit cereal as seems more choice better quality and prices
plus cereal has been fortified

however I love Lidl bakery and some of the other stuff there

what do others think about which is better? I tend to try and not do both as it’s the time and cost that makes it undo able

Honestly, Tesco. I know it’s not what you asked but I find Tesco the same price and better quality. I don’t find Aldi or Lidl that good anymore. If I had to make a decision on non perishable foods though, it would be Aldi. Fresh fruit and veg, elsewhere.

I much prefer the products they have in Aldi. The only good thing about Lidl is the bakery.

LaWench · 30/03/2024 06:55

I prefer Aldi as choices are better but Lidl is closer so we shop there more often.

i like lidl for danepak and cheese
but also go to tesco and asda as the lidl card isnt that good

I prefer Aldi of the two. Both have tasty tomatoes 😂 I think Aldi veg lasts a bit better and I like their immune tea bags.

Agree - Lidl bakery is good. But I’ve had a couple bits from Lidl that have been awful - one was Easter eggs last year from their deluxe range. 3 different flavours and they were, just yuk. We had to throw them out, they were terrible. Another was a deluxe range pie that was awful.

Also, up til recently we’ve used Aldi nappies for DS. We had a lot of leaks with Lidl ones when he was younger but Aldi have been great. I did try Lidl ones again recently and we’ve had no issues.

Aldi, but Lidl have good garden stuff at this time of year.

I'd alternate it. I find both their ranges limited so its nice to mix it up. Personally I prefer our local lidl so go there most often.
