Is this too "edgy" for a corporate job?

I'll be a head of department (not customer facing). Have had pink hair before in a different company, but this is a new job!

Honestly? Yes. I'd tone it down for now until you get a proper feel of the place and what's appropriate.

I think it's fine, it's abit different (I quite like it) but not too out there. If you are worried though, why don't you just wait a couple of months or so into the new role first ?

chatenoire · 29/03/2024 20:13

Yes I could wait for sure, but I have the time to do it this week. Something I usually don't!

Yes for a big corporate job

I work for a big British company in a corporate role (not head of!) and this wouldn't cause any issues at all.

Sagittarius · 29/03/2024 20:30

Go for it then, I mean they might say something if they don't like it , but it could easily be covered. I work in a corporate role and my workplace wouldn't have an issue with this hairstyle.

LaJoconde · 29/03/2024 20:31

It’s a bit Cruella.

LaJoconde · 29/03/2024 20:31

Posted too soon- but you do you

donothing · 29/03/2024 20:36

I'm in a big corporate. It would be fine. We're often told we should have a personal'brand' , so go for it! Get a really good hairdresser to do it though

nodogz · 29/03/2024 20:50

I've got a cruella streak that I often turn purple or pink when bored. I work in a plc and meet vips as part of my job. Totally acceptable.

CantFindTheBeat · 29/03/2024 21:35

Is it for an interview, or a role you already have?

I already have the role. My first day is in 10 days

If you haven't started your job, and you got offered the role having interviewed with a more traditional style, I'd probably stick with that in the interim.

Once you've found your feet and impressed with your capabilities, you can switch it up then, perhaps?

Oblomov24 · 29/03/2024 21:55

Those pictures are quite different though, some are younger, more grungy than others.

chatenoire · 29/03/2024 22:03

I have very dark hair, but that idea is that part of my fringe would be bleached and some around my temples on the opposite side

Me too & agree!
