Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday. I've posted about this book before without any luck but am hoping someone else can remember it....
Children's book from 1960s or 1970s. Autobiographical story about growing up. Narrators name is Jane or Janie or maybe Janye. Includes details of failing the 11+ as she forgot to turnover the page and so missed a question, games they played in the streets including knock down ginger.
It had an all white cover, slightly bobbly to the touch. I think it was published by either Puffin or Penguin.
I' Ve done a lot of googling but to no avail. Anyone please?
