Are chemical peels helpful for this sort of skin damage? Pic included

I'm aware that my skin looks sun damaged. I use suncream daily (now) but after years of not, and I guess this is the result.

I'm getting kinda paranoid about it and wondered if anyone had success with chemical peels (or anything else) to remove the damage?
