Who I supply as a reference in this situation?

Have a band 5 healthcare job post uni study.

Previously worked as a band 2 in the NHS (several years ago). New job (not NHS) want details of my band 2 role and a reference. They also want an educational reference, and a character reference.

Anyone that was my line manager, mentor or knew me well enough (or had sufficient seniority) has long since left, and the unit I worked on no longer exists - it was converted to four distinct wards a month after I left (hence a huge staff turnover).

Who I put as a referee? Uni are doing one, I've got a character reference but with the NHS, do I just give them the board's HR details and hope that they can go from there?

Would ring new job/NHS HR but given it's a holiday weekend, I won't get anyone until Tuesday at least.

Say this and give the HR Dept. contact details.
