Guess which former Deputy Conservative Chairman is upset that lights are being displayed for Ramadan?

Apparently this is a Christian country so it's not ok to display lights for Ramadan

'UK is Christian – it's time to demand our country back' | Express Comment | Comment | Express.co.uk

"Just like Labour, the Tories also refuse to stand up for Christian values it seems. Their candidate for the Westminster constituency said the lights were to be “welcomed” before paying trivial lip service to the promotion of other religions and their holy days. Under successive Tory governments British culture, identity, and values have ebbed away, and the rate at which they are doing so seems to be rapidly increasing.
Let me be clear, this isn’t an attack on Islam or any other religion. I firmly and absolutely respect the rights of individuals to celebrate their faith, but who in the establishment is standing up for the Christian values that made our country so great and revered across the globe? Can you honestly believe that if the shoe were on the other foot, a Muslim country would decorate its capital city with Easter decorations during Ramadan?"

Last time I checked, we are a multi-cultural society celebrating all faiths and none. I am sure there are Christmas decoration and Easter Eggs. Plus Diwali celebrations as well.

Lee Anderson says a horrific attack last night in London has exposed Sadiq Khan's utter lack of ability to ensure safe streets for millions of citizens.

Clearly never left the country. Lots of countries have Christmas decorations up which aren't Christian.

There are no adequate words for this hateful, knuckle-dragging bottom feeder. If he's an example of the 'British culture' we're supposed to 'want back', then you can count me out.

If Reform want to take part in election debates, I hope this is mentioned.

I am sure many actual Christians have no issue with other people celebrating their faith and it being celebrated. As Christmas is. And Easter.

I couldn't give a flying fuck about that man's opinion on any subject under the sun.

Mr Anderson supported a government led for three years by someone who displayed none of the Christian values he wants to see.

Did he struggle with a Prime Minister who is a Hindu and with the other people in the Cabinet who belonged to other religions?

Not to his face I would assume.

And no sniggling in this thread. It would make 30p flee very very sad.

It is becoming very difficult to know what the 'Portillo moment' of the general election is going to be. Lee Anderson failing to be elected as the Reform candidate may be one.

I wonder if that's partly why so many MPs are standing down. They don't want to have the portillo experience.

Personally these are who I'd most like to see lose their seat (in order):

  1. Michael Gove
  2. Jacob Rees-Mogg
  3. Kemi Badenoch
  4. Suella Braverman
  5. Rishi Sunak himself

Michael Gove would be a portillo moment to behold.

To your if she shoe was on the other foot comment ...many muslim countries have christmas decorations put up. I was in dubai recently and Christmas decorations were much more extravagant than the u.k
Minority native christian and expat populations live in the middle East too. Also if you think the churches in the middle East are not celebrating Easter because its ramadan your ill informed.

Worth leaving this here. Along with the view that Lee Anderson, and anyone happy to be in political party he is a member of is a 18 carot cunt.

You can't even statistically describe the UK as Christian. But then I think we can all imagine an evening class with your approved Reform maths re-educator.

"Right you 'orrible lot. You see this grid here with 1,000 squares ? You see that one square in the corner that's not white ? That's an 'horde'. Geddit ? 'Horde'. What's that Simpkins ? Is the 'w' silent ? Like wot my mother is ? No you idiot. 'Horde'."

"Now remember unit class. Wot do 'ordes do ? That's right Butkiss-Smyth. They 'swarm' and 'invade' don't they. 'Swarm'. 'Invade'. Don't worry, I'll pass some pictures round later with the tattoo pack. Now, about Muslimics ...."
