Oxfordshire ..thunder and lightening, hail and it's so dark outside I have all the lights on!
I was hoping to get up and plant my allotment this Easter break... reckon I'll be kayaking across it :(

Scottish coast…beautiful blue sky and sunshine but jeez it’s bitter and there’s a wind to cut through you! I’ve had to put the heating on

afaloren · 28/03/2024 17:03

Worcestershire and it’s tipping it down and ridiculously dark.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 28/03/2024 17:03

I’m in the north west and it’s not dark, just grey, cold and windy 🥶.

Not at all dark, but overcast skies

Sourisblanche · 28/03/2024 17:04

London looking very gloomy.

NearlyBritishSummertimeYay · 28/03/2024 17:05

SE: Hampshire/Berkshire/Surrey meeting point.

Still properly daylight, a few grey clouds, very windy! & chilly eith it. I gave the heating on. Would have 'made do' with more layer, but wanted to help the washing dry & feeling a bit low today, so I wanted the house to feel cosy.

a friend just said to expect snow next week, but can't see an official suggestion of it.

meecestopeeces · 28/03/2024 17:05

Brightish and greyish now, but about lunchtime it was so dark it was like night out then we had the LOUDEST thunder/lightning/hail storm for about 15 mins, it brightened up straight after. Heating is on! South Wales.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 28/03/2024 17:06

It has been a lousy day in London but nothing dramatic, just chilly, windy, lots of clouds, intermittent rain.

Procrastination4 · 28/03/2024 17:07

Southern Ireland-blue skies and sunshine all day! Lovely and bright and sunny outside still.

PuppyMonkey · 28/03/2024 17:09

It’s getting a bit black over Bill’s mam’s now as we say in Notts.Grin

Singleandproud · 28/03/2024 17:11

Blue sky for most of the day, now a bit windy and drizzly, not dark enough to have the lights on.

Sirzy · 28/03/2024 17:12

North west not dark but cool and wet.

AyeupDuck · 28/03/2024 17:12

Hi @PuppyMonkey yep Notts is dark but a few rays of sunshine poking through just had a cloud burst 30 mins ago.

shellyleppard · 28/03/2024 17:12

Sunshine followed by very heavy showers in my part of the world (Derbyshire) I've put the central heating on as the wind is making me feel cold 🥶

mommybear1 · 28/03/2024 17:29

Midlands very dark and pouring down

Redglitter · 28/03/2024 17:32

West of Scotland. Lovely blue skies but a bit chilly. Not enough to put the heating on though

Pieceofpurplesky · 28/03/2024 17:33

Northumberland. Has been sunny this afternoon after a showery start.

Lovehearts82 · 28/03/2024 17:37

North Wales, overcast now so just a bit grey at the moment its been on/off raining and sunshine today, and the Snowdonia mountains were all snowy this morning, so a bit of all weathers.

Popetthetreehugger · 28/03/2024 17:37

Essex , heavy grey clouds, raining off and on . Cold looks like the Easter egg hunt will be indoors this year 🐣🤷‍♀️

mynameiscalypso · 28/03/2024 17:38

Very gloomy here (London) but marginally less dark than it was an hour ago when it was pouring.

I really hate the way the weather is messing with us all at the moment with lovely sunny mornings with beautiful blue skies and then it pisses with rain as soon as you need to leave.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 28/03/2024 17:43

I was meant to be pitching my tent in Suffolk this evening but thanks to COVID I am at home in Yorkshire where it is merely a little bit grey.

SOxon · 28/03/2024 20:07

17.00 East of Oxford, sky suddenly darkened, then thunder, lightning torrential almost horizontal rain, now very blustery, March had better calm down soon if
its going out like a lamb
Has anyone seen the footage of planes attempting to land at Heathrow?
