I know my neighbour is a Mumsnetter because they've put up revenge windchimes.

Neighbours across the road live in maisonettes. Looks like a house with two front doors and a small window which lets light into the hallway/ staircase that goes up to their flat.

I've picked up on a few disputes between them over the last couple of years. Once they had raised voices in the street about kind of brickwork problem, and I also once heard upstairs refusing to take a parcel in for downstairs. All minor things as far as I'm concerned. I've got no idea if there has been bad sentiment or just slight unneighbourliness. Also no idea who 'started it' - both sets keep themselves to themselves and I've never chatted to them properly, let alone asked them about it.

Except something has clearly happened because a set of windchimes has been put up this week. They're hanging from the window frame of upstairs' hallway window, so I'm certain the only people who will hear them often are downstairs. They're only about 50cm from downstairs' front door.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm posting I just never thought I'd see the day where the Mumsnet windchime stereotype would come true. I'm quite impressed at the pettiness too.
