Finished marathon training, what next?

I've got a couple of weeks until the race, but the long runs are done.

I've trained really seriously with a club mate and we've become good friends over lots of hours of running.

Both our bodies are just about hanging on in there, so we need a break from the big runs, but we're going to miss the training.

What should we do next?

Enjoy the taper!

Look for a half about 4-6 weeks after the marathon as you'll hit a peak surge of fitness then.

Are you doing London? If so, Ride London Essex and Swim Serpentine to get the London Classics medal.

No it's an overseas marathon.

I'm going on a wild swimming trip in the summer, so I do need to learn to swim 🤣 but friend won't do that with me.
