Sudden caffeine effects - is my life over?

I have always been able to drink as much caffeine as I pleased with no impact - it never gave me a buzz or a high, I drank coffee because I liked it, and didnt really drink lots - I like one cup a day and the odd diet coke.

However the last few weeks after a caffeinated drink I have started having what feels like my heart is racing, but its not? It feels like an anxiety attack without the anxiety.

Is that what a caffeine buzz is? Am I about to be forced to start drinking decaf? Say it aint so!

You could try less of it, or weaker coffee. I'm cutting down, because of high blood pressure and I really miss it. I drink filter coffee and now have a milder one and use half the amount.

I think you just need to see how it goes.

I don't know, I've been told to avoid grapefruit, as it interacts with the tablets. That's an easy one for me, I loathe the bloody stuff!

I'd say that you'd be best having a word with a pharmacist, they're usually a bit more knowledgeable on drugs than doctors - that's from my doctor.

I have a heart condition and had to give up caffeinated drinks several years ago. There are some good ones out there so you don't need to miss out! More difficult is chocolate..... I have to limit that severely.
