WhatsApp glitch for anyone else?

My sister texted my last night. I saw the chat just never opened it because I knew I was too busy to reply. Later on in the day the message was opened, but I know I defo hadn’t opened it? Has anyone else had this before

Did you accidentally touch the notification, amd then swipped it of the screen, so it appeared read, even though you hadn't read it? I've done that before.

I can’t think that I did but it could have been! Spooked me out. I just went back to my phone later and went “wtf. I never opened that!” Still weirds me out how it happened.
