Infected chickenpox

My teenager has finally succumbed to cp, some of the spots are infected and GP prescribed antibiotics- does anyone have any experience of how long these should take to work? We’re about 36 hours in to taking them - I don’t want to be blasé and give it too long, or be overzealous if it typically takes 3/4 days to see an improvement!

I'd say at least 48 hours for antibiotics to start working

Also, don't let them take ibuprofen:
