Thinking too much about scammers!

There have been so many stories on here and in the press.

It makes me nervous, I had a text pretending to be from a bank. It was easy to see that was fake. Then a payment request via PayPal from god knows who. Cancelled that in PayPal.

I was due to be paid after midnight today i.e. nearly 12 hours ago. My money hadn't gone in and recent transactions weren't showing so I got a bit panicky until I googled and discovered there were problems with the bank's app.

I need to calm down a bit and avoid reading about scams, don't I?!

Anyone else get like this?

It's always a good idea to keep up to date about the latest scams and new methods scammers are using. Perhaps the more you're aware of them the less anxious you'll be?

I watch a lot of scambaiters on YouTube such as Jim Browning, Scammer Payback, Deeveeaar and Pleasant Green. Their videos are educational and entertaining when they expose the lowlife scum.

@MrsBosomworth ah no, I looked at Jim Browning who exposed a call centre who were doing things like scamming and laughing at a man who said he was depressed. How mean, I hope he got his money back.

Actually I'm OK with scam phone calls as I immediately get irritated if it's someone I don't know!
