Hay Fever

Is anyone else really suffering this year? I always start coughing, getting itchy eyes and feeling generally crap this time of year but it seems to be off the scale this year. I had an awful cough from the beginning of December and a month or so after it finally went the bloody tree pollen started so I'm back to square one!

I'm the same. I keep checking the pollen forecast, and it keeps saying low pollen, but my hay fever says otherwise.

Yep.

Opened my office window for a few minutes, had to apologise to the Zoom
meeting because I was crying on the call.

Sorry you're both suffering but I'm glad it's not just me! It was pouring with rain all day yesterday and I was still suffering. It's going to be a long year 😞

I'm doing alright this year, but I started taking antihistamines every day a few weeks back. My doctor advised getting them built up in my system before the symptoms started and so far it seems to be working.

FussyPud · 27/03/2024 11:35

It’s intolerable at the moment. I’m on strong antihistamines, and regularly washing my face and hair.

I have said it before and I will say it again: the human body is not fit for purpose!

I have hayfever, and I take strong antihistamines for it, they are called treathay

Steroid nasal sprays are best for hay fever - you can buy beconase or boots equivalent over the counter but if they're not strong enough ask the doctor for dymista. I had some last year and it killed my hay fever stone dead.
