Deia:mallorca. Anyone been. Is there a central part and how do you get to the beach.

I've actually been once before and just found myself on a busy road? Is there a little square or central part? How do you find fhe beach?

Any restaurants to recommend etc thank you.

It's inland, about 10mins drive from the beach, but I believe the car park there is tiny. Very pretty, but less of an artists' retreat and more of a millionaire's playground these days. It's a hilltop settlement really so you can't easily view much of it by car.

As above, it's a stony beach from what I remember. There's a couple of lovely restaurants, one you definitely have to book the other I think you can just queue for. We've walked there before now from Soller got the bus back.

It's a bit of a hike down to the beach but very well signposted. It was very busy when we were there, the town and the beach. But we did have a fantastic excellent value set lunch there in a cafe in the town bit.

It's pretty but seems very touristy now. I've also had a drink on the terrace of the posh hotel - which was rather lovely.

Is there any where else you can compare it too?
Eg south of France hill top towns.

Are there any shops, Cafe etc?

@PuttingOutFirewithGasoline I only made a brief visit. My friend loves it, but she has expensive taste and travels without kids.

Some of the restaurants look beautiful though.
