New glasses can’t see properly

I had my eyes retested a few weeks ago. The results were that both of my eyes are the same, but one eye feels blurrier than the other. And if I put a hand over one eye at a time, one is blurrier than the other. I didn’t say anything at the time because I was too shy and thought I’d trust the process and they know more than me. Now I have new glasses and whilst everything is a lot clearer, one eye is still straining slightly to see, and I am possibly stuck with these for the next 2 years. Maybe the difference was so minimal that a different prescription wouldn’t work? I don’t know if it was a mistake in the testing process or if my prescription is right/I’m just adjusting

Go back and get the glasses checked. It’s no good if you can’t see clearly with the glasses.

Go back and say they are not right. I had an issue where they made my glasses wrongly. I went back and they'd clearly made a typo on the spec and I had to have them redone.

How long have you had them? There's a period of time during which you can go back and tell them the glasses aren't ok.

I can’t see through one eye at a time, but using both eyes together I can see fine

It may be as simple as not being fitted properly. Definitely go back.

Had a similar problem a few weeks ago.

When I went back, they retested my eyes by making one blurry, then the other (instead of covering one eye and then the other).

This showed the first prescription was wrong.

Go back and get them sorted. Look after your eyes

This happened to me in January, they re-tested me, and discovered the prescription for my right eye was wrong. The Lens was corrected at their expense.

Also check that the prescription they gave you is the prescription that they wrote. I once got some glasses and they were terrible. Someone had hand written '-0.25' but the '-' was so close to the 0, and the 0 so badly written, that it looked like '3.25'.

Go back, of course.
