Are you a nosey neighbour?

Inspired by the "Is it too late to go to the shop at 9.30pm thread..

I wouldn't consider myself nosey as such, I certainly don't keep regular tabs on any of my neighbours. However, I do find myself wondering what certain neighbours are getting up to on occasions. I lead a relatively busy life but I find myself gravitating to my favourite chair by the window when I have a spare 5 minutes or more and I'll read/have a cuppa (or glass of wine on a friday eve)/watch the world go by. It's here I start to ponder.

An example.. neighbour opposite us is a teacher, married with 3 kids and a dog. I've noticed her car hasn't left the drive what seems like at all for the last few weeks during the day. My head: "I wonder if she's going to work", "she must be off work", "is she off sick", " I hope she's ok". I mean, she seems to be OK from what I have seen as she's often out with the dog, smiling etc.

So, is it just me? 😆

I live in a cul-de-sac so it feels kind of closed in, we all can see each other's movements.
I WFH a couple of days a week.
All the neighbours are nice, we all say hello, closer to some than others, I know most peoples movements.
One side of me is a woman, 40ish, with a late teenage son. She works but you hardly see the son, he doesn't go out, I've seen him twice.
There is absolutely no sign of life when they're at home, no lights on, no sound from the TV, no voices, no noise from the vacuum, no door banging, no windows open, absolutely nothing the only way you know they're in is the steam from the central heating pipe and her car is there.
Now that situation makes me nosy, I spend far too long wondering what they're doing in there.
I'm really noisy, I have no "indoor voice" TV is always blaring, dog will be barking and I'm shouting the dog to come in, I actually feel sorry for them having to live next door to me
