I'm off work allllll week this week and need some suggestions of nice things I could do by myself.

I've done all the cleaning today, so the house is spotless, I now have 5 full days to do as I please!

Only problem is......I don't know what to do with myself 😂 I need inspiration

What would you do with a full week off?

I had 3 days off recently.
I went into our nearest big town for a bit of shopping and had lunch out.
Went for 2 runs.
Pottered about at home, baked a new cake recipe, and cooked nice things for dinner from scratch.
One of the days I spent travelling for a weekend away.

Other things I like doing:
The big art gallery in town has a free lunchtime concert on a Thursday, I go to that if I can when I'm off. Or I'll go to properly see a new exhibition that I can't do with the kids.
Go for a nice long walk somewhere different with tea and cake during/after.
Get the train to a midway meeting point to see my sister or parents.
Gardening. Well, I don't like it but needs must and I don't often have time in my usual working week.

When I get a few days off I enjoy; going to the gym, reading, studying free courses with open learn, enjoying a coffee at the coffee shop, go to the cinema or watch movies/Netflix at home, spring clean, meet up with friends or family, go shopping, lots of nice long hot bubble baths 🙂

Omg I wish having not had a day off for months or a holiday for years myself
sleep and more sleep would be my healing heaven
self employed landlord here
and I’m sixty bloody two
if your really struggling to find things to do my iorning and house work 🤣

I love going to Ikea when I don't actually need to, as I don't get annoyed by the people or one-way system if I'm only going to potter around to get inspiration and take photos to get ideas.

Having a week off is great as I love the mix of busy and lazy. One day will generally be devoted to reading, watching Vera and napping. Wonderful.😀

One day baking to fill up the freezer with cakes for a couple of months' lunchboxes.

Do a Sort Your Life Out and empty out a room to see what you can rid of or reorganise.

You could go shopping, go to the cinema, go swimming, go ice skating, go bowling, go out for lunch/dinner, go out for drinks, go for a walk, have your friends at your house or go to their houses. If you're staying home, you could play your games console if you have one, read, watch tv or films, listen to music.

I’m off this week

today did a bit of tidying and laundry , hospital appointment then some paperwork

tomorrow getting haircut and cleaner coming , going to put away the laundry that’s currently in spare room and make something nice for supper for DH and I

weds going out for a little shopping trip with my mum (I don’t work Weds so this is a regular thing) she wants to go to Matalan and for lunch somewhere. Might see if I can find somewhere to get our nails done as a treat

Thursday I’m going to wallpaper our cloakroom (downstairs loo) and paint a sink unit DH had made for me at work

Friday hoping to get some work done at allotment then out for early supper with DH and mum

Swimming, sauna, running, gym, audiobooks, cinema, long walks, cooking, driving

This is my dream....
I would spend a couple of days sorting the house out. Max 2 days.
I would drive to a beach with the dog and have a lovely walk
Book myself in somewhere for a spa day
Spend a day reading my book and watching tv
Maybe go to the cinema
I think I would do my best to avoid people and just have some lovely quiet time to be honest! Enjoy.

Thanks for the ideas!

Today is a lounge around and watch Netflix day. Can't wait!

Catch up with family or friends. Perhaps drive or get a bus to another village/town/city nearby (I sometimes do this and our next down has a nice river to walk along, so it's not all about shopping), have a potter around there and coffee or lunch. Do you like walking? Anything you'd like to do at the cinema?

I'm off all week. I walk a friend for breakfast yesterday and we visited my DH's Uncle yesterday. Not feeling well this morning, so sorting out my clothes, planting a few seeds and might watch a film. I've got tomorrow and Thursday morning to myself so will get bus to local down (above) if I'm well enough.

I never have a full week off to myself but to try to take the odd day off here and there when DH is at work and DDs are at school. Sone of the things I love to do are:

Go to the gym or for a long walk with an audiobook then stop somewhere for a coffee afterwards and people watch.

Visit the library and spend ages browsing for a new book to read.

Treat myself to a nice lunch out somewhere.

If it's nice weather, sit outside in the garden with a beer and a book.

Treat myself to a hairdressers appointment or something at the salon.... usually a pedicure, massage or facial.

Go swimming.

Laze around watching TV and not cooking. Something like cheese, bread and wine for dinner is perfect 😁
