It's a challenge coin.

There's many for sale on ebay etc. I think it maybe an award from a race or challenge in Switzerland?

Oh! I saw one exactly the same on one side, with 7 florin on the other!

I saw a few on eBay but nothing that explains what the coin was first given out for.

Maybe South African because a guilder is an old Dutch coin.
