Does anyone remember this chocolate egg?

I know its some time ago but in the early 1990s I always remember loving a chocolate egg, about Cadburys cream egg size which was split into two halves. the half segments were white chocolate on the outside with milk chocolate in the middle similar to how vice versa chocolates used to be. I'm sure the foil wrapper was white and the name of the egg began with a D, maybe called Duo or Deuce, Deux I can't quite remember I just remember they were very nice!
Does anyone else remember this chocolate egg and what they were called?

Le Deux chocolate eggs is coming up on Google for me but no pics unfortunately!

GigiAnnna · 25/03/2024 18:53

Yes I'm sure I remember something like that. Was the inside like a praline/ Nutella like filling?

Vanillalime · 25/03/2024 19:02

Was it the Cadbury Dream egg? I’m sure that was white chocolate.

They definitely were delicious! I was only a child at the time but remember loving them, all the best chocolate gets discontinued. Do you remember the brand?

Alas, I’ve no idea what the brand was and there doesn’t seem to be a trace of them online! I think about them wistfully every Easter 😭

JenniferBooth · 26/03/2024 19:16

Could it have been Milka

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 26/03/2024 19:21

Eggs were great in the past.

I remember Needler eggs. Chocolate with chocolate fondant filling. Theyre really boring now

Talipesmum · 26/03/2024 19:26

I think I remember those.

But the best ones ever was a kinder egg pack from the late 80s / early 90s shaped like a little cottage, and the lid lifted off, and the eggs were inside. I think they had Asterix buildable figures inside. Played with that cottage and figures for ages!

Talipesmum · 26/03/2024 19:30

This one!

As a 60s child, I remember Mackintosh's toffee filled eggs which were like a piece of heaven!

Coastalcreeksider · 26/03/2024 19:38

Yes, I remember them too. I was given a whole box of them from a friend as a thank you for giving her lifts to and from work.

Took me a few days to get through them and I gave some away but they really were very nice eggs, miles better than any of the other brands.

Can I hijack the thread to ask if anyone remembers mint eggs? They were a bit smaller than a creme egg and I think they had a green foil wrapper. The mint fondant was delicious. I think they were out in the 80s or early 90s.

JenniferBooth · 26/03/2024 19:47

@ZaZathecat yes they were still about in the 80s Much better than a creme egg DB still has his brown Smarties mug from the 80s which is at our parents on the mug tree and he still has his cup of tea in it when he goes round there.
