Tablecloths - very exciting subject

I need a protective tablecloth for our new (to us) solid oak table. I have had oil cloth before but it’s been very light and slid everywhere, even with those none slip mats underneath.

Can anyone recommend a company who will provide something weightier for the table, with the bound edges. I’m after something that will be on the majority of the time so happy to pay for something that will really do the job, maybe with a backing built in?

Sorry. Work distracted me. @minipie the box corners look great. Thanks! And for the table protectors which might also do the job (@OwlBasket ) was one.

if people can’t see why I want to protect the table day to day when I have kids in there painting and doing stuff then I don’t know what to say 🤷‍♀️. We’ve managed to get ourselves something really nice that will last a long time, much longer than my kids will still be home and able to wreck it, and I want to keep it nice. It won’t be covered forever.

I also have two nice cars (though not Jags), and we don’t just drive them at night. But I do wait for the sun so I can get the roof down.

Thanks to everyone who actually helped!

@beliefbelieve I have a beautiful mid-century teak dining table which has been re-french-polished (due to an accident - roof came down - insurance paid for it) and there is no way I want it to get spoiled by regular use without a cloth, so I have a table protector and an oil cloth so that I don't have to worry about the kids using it or it getting ruined by ordinary everyday use. I take the cloths off for celebratory use. I just wouldn't use the table at all if it wasn't protected and then there would be no point in having it at all.
