Liverpool hotel breakfast /nice foyer

We are arriving into Liverpool at around 6.30am and plan to travel over to Manchester in the afternoon to check into our hotel there. Check in will be around 3pm.
We want to do the Liverpool Anfield stadium tour before we go.
I’ve booked a tour for 12 noon.
I’m hoping for ideas of where we could go after arriving in.
I thought of a nice hotel where we could get breakfast and then sit around the foyer, have coffee/read/use loos while we wait for the tour.
I don’t know Liverpool at all.
Will have couple kids with us 10 years.
I’d really appreciate any ideas of what to do / places to go after our journey before the stadium tour.

Where are you arriving to? Lime Street station or elsewhere? Just helps with suggestions.

Arriving into airport and we’ll have a car.
Happy to drive anywhere so I guess where we go needs to have parking also.

Might bump again in the morning but hoping for the Liverpool crowd’s advice

The Novotel has quite a good seating area / foyer. It's good for kids and has a pool. Noisy on weekends though.

Lots of things to do in Liverpool the docks and waterfront are a great wander and lots of museums there including the Beatles one. You won't have that much time though if leaving for Anfield at 12.
