And so are the footballs. Could scream

Ahh the good old Mumsnet Spring/Summer moaning threads.

Full of moans about families enjoying the outdoors.

Buckle up, it's going to be a long time till next Winter.

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 24/03/2024 15:01

I've washed all my jumpers and they are dry. The blankets are out of the machine soon.
Love a bit of sunshine.

You like footballs kicked up your fence and into your garden then kids running up and whacking your door then buggering off? Well I don’t.

It’s not “families enjoying the outdoors” where I live dear

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 24/03/2024 15:12

Move to the countryside

concernedchild · 24/03/2024 15:12

I'd rather kids were playing football outside than inside being poisoned by social media!

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 24/03/2024 15:13

What a bloody good idea. I’ll get the millions I’ve been saving out of the bank. Don’t be obtuse

HelloMiss · 24/03/2024 15:14

What's the problem?

Volvovolvo · 24/03/2024 15:16

This isn't going as op planned 😁

Elebag · 24/03/2024 15:17

Better outside than in.
I have to chuck back footballs from my garden every so often. I'd rather be disturbed on a sunny day than the local kids stay inside.

TheChippendenSpook · 24/03/2024 15:17

I thought it was going to be a happy thread.

I've been out to buy a new bike and noticed that people in general seem more cheery today. I put it down to the weather.

User135644 · 24/03/2024 15:19

At least they aren't watching porn.

MadelineWuntch · 24/03/2024 15:20

Well I'm enjoying it. Laundry on the line, been to the garden centre for new plants, and walking down to the local restaurant for drinks and a Sunday roast this evening. Triffic.

User135644 · 24/03/2024 15:19

At least they aren't watching porn.

Kids aren't handcuffed in their rooms watching it, same with social media 24/7

It's the worst of both worlds. The kids are kicking balls at OP's fence and still looking at shit online.

JaneJeffer · 24/03/2024 15:29

Who needs sunshine when they've got you @DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats eh?

Tanaria · 24/03/2024 16:00

OP, I get it. I used to rent a house that was end-of-terrace, close to a primary school but nowhere near a park. Every dry day in spring, summer and autumn, the kids used to kick their footballs against my wall (for those of you who don't know the sound, it's like someone constantly banging a door) and I used to get a few knock-and-runners a week. This was any time between 9am and 9pm.

I am glad I moved.

Now I'm not dreading the sunshine again. It can be extremely annoying, but many here will never have experienced anything like it.

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 24/03/2024 16:05

Thank you. It’s awful. They’ve now ripped panels off a neighbour’s fence and these kids dontt even live here! They are visiting and are outside unsupervised

JanglingJack · 24/03/2024 16:21

Sun's out... Freckles out 😂🙄. Gorgeous day sorting the garden. Found a ton of tennis balls that don't belong to me. I'm unsure which fence to lob them back over too 🤣

awitchoftroubleinelectricblue · 24/03/2024 16:32

Wowsers this is a Mumsnet record - the very first warm, sunny day of the year and there's someone complaining about people using their local outdoor spaces and not being silent!

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 24/03/2024 16:48

What? Trashing the place? They are feral kids not people quietly enjoying the sun

OP posts:
Noseyoldcow · 24/03/2024 16:51

First sign of spring round here is some twat with a noisy power washer washing something all sodding weekend long. And the following weekend, and the one after that.......God knows what he's washing, must have dissolved everything in the jet water by now.

That's not what you lead with though is it op?
' Feral' kids out damaging property is quite different to kids out playing football. Maybe start again with a different title, and you might get the replies you seek.

Fieldsofgold1 · 24/03/2024 16:56

It's lovely to have the sunshine but it's still chuffing cold here in the wind and shade.
