Scammed- I'm an idiot!

I've been scammed. I applied for a loan but had to pay fees. I stupidly payed them then they asked for more which I stupidly paid. Obviously no loan.
My bank account has been restricted.
So I reported it to action fraud. And spoke at length with the fraud team at my bank.
I feel like such an idiot.

Loan from who?

About 600 .the loan was always coming just one more payment.

I'm sorry. Don't feel bad, they are very clever these days and many, many people are duped.

I hope your bank is helpful, some random robbing bastard spent £2,600 on my credit card once but I got it back.

@Stressedgiraffe urrrgh, hate scammers. I had an attempt this morning, email from PayPal about a request for funds. So I logged into PayPal and cancelled the request for £90.

Are you allowed to say what the 'loan' organisation is called? How did you hear of them? Hopefully the bank can sort it out.

It's not stupidity you know. When you're desperate for something many people close down the 'doubt' part of their brain and push through.

Then after the scam they open the 'doubt' part of their brain again and realise 'the warning signs were there' etc.

So don't feel stupid or blame yourself.

@heatersneaker I always wince about love scammers, I think they're evil playing on people's loneliness and hopes and dreams to be loved and love back.

@Stressedgiraffe I've heard banks are pretty good on fraud so don't be despondent. It can happen if you're worried about money and they're unscrupulous.

I know the bank has been excellent. I'm not expecting the money back . I just need them to unrestricted my account so I can pay rent next week.
