Do stuff in the City - Old Bailey, St Paul's, Temple of Mithras, Bank of England Museum, Museum of London, cross the Millennium Bridge and go to Tate Modern.

Loopytiles · 23/03/2024 20:44

Stranger Things stage show

YAYOI KUSAMA: INFINITY MIRROR ROOMS at the Tate is brilliant! My boys of similar age loved it!

If they like Disney there's 100 years celebration exhibition at the O2

OnHerSolidFoundations · 23/03/2024 20:52

Oh the massive BFI Imax at Waterloo is great too

Davros · 23/03/2024 21:08

I don't think anyone wants to come to London for a trip and go swimming, bowling or cinema.
I second (third, fourth?) the RIB ride on the Thames

Have you been to the old Bailey?
Where did you leave your belongings? It says nothing can be taken in.

Toca Social interactive football if they are football fans - fun even if not tbh!
https://www.toca.social/

it’s at the o2 so would work with some other ideas too

TOCA Social

The world's first and only immersive football and dining experience in London.

@Sunshineandrainbow several shops nearby will keep things for you, or you can use lockers at Liverpool Street Station, I think one of the luggage apps also covers the area so you can book to drop off in advance.

Hakunatomato · 23/03/2024 21:25

Battersea Power Station. You can take the lift to the top of one of the chimneys. Huge visitor centre and shops, restaurants etc

Dibblydoodahdah · 23/03/2024 21:33

If they like gaming, the Power Up Exhibition at the science museum is great. If they like football, they would enjoy the Wembley Stadium tour, which is the best football stadium tour that we have done - better than Arsenal and Barcelona.

My boys also loved climbing over the 02.

idontlikealdi · 23/03/2024 21:36

If they're into skateboarding at all Sothbank. Ad the graffiti runnels are worth a visit

idontlikealdi · 23/03/2024 21:38

The lift at Battersea is booked out but you could chance a walk in over
Easter
Weekend

Pinkbonbon · 23/03/2024 21:41

The Gunpowder plot!

You follow in the footsteps of guy fox, through the tunnels under the tower of London.

There's a mix of live actors and some brilliant cgi. Tom Felton (draco malfoy from Harry potter) plays Guy Fox in the cgi scenes.

We are north London so it's 1/2hr in the car.

But it's still not London! And half an hour in the car might be OK, but the OP hasn't said they're driving.

PlumpHobbit · 23/03/2024 22:02

F1 arcade - it by St Paul's(?))

Really good fun especially if they like racing games or F1

Slots are usually about an hour so plenty of time to do other bits too

OnHerSolidFoundations · 23/03/2024 22:10

@BIWI another one who could do with taking a chill pill eh?

The OP hasn't said much about where they will be staying or what the kids are into. They might be massive HP fans. We just don't know,

Why does it bother you what someone else suggests?
