Anyone else had this? I had a cough, feeling dreadful, feeling exhausted, not wanting to eat much. I'm a bit better now but have a cold. Does it ever end? Lol

I know two people who’ve had this, cough/breathless/feeling awful, but no temp/sore throat etc. It lasts weeks.

LemonySnickets · 23/03/2024 07:59

I'm at the end of week 2. Although I'm feeling much better than last week, the way I feel today it'll be another week before I'm better. 🤞🏼

And this is my third bout this year already! Previous 2 I was ill 1.5 weeks.

Loads going round at the moment.

My dad has had the 100 day cold that keeps going and coming back after a few days, myself and DH have had a lurgy with different symptoms (mine was temp plus cold symptoms his was temp and gastric, wouldn't be surprised if it was covid tbh as I'd been somewhere with someone who'd tested positive but I've not got any tests anymore)

Close friend has had temp/sickness/body aches and now dd has the same.

Was feeling pleased that I managed to do some chores around the house but then had to go back to bed as I felt dreadful Bear

Yep. I’m into my 3rd week of it. I’ve just started penicillin for sinusitis because I’ve had that for 14 days now. I thought it would go but it hasn’t, no matter what I’ve tried. I already have chronic illnesses and this has just knocked me for six.

I hope I get some relief soon.

Why does there seem to be so much going around at the moment? How are people managing to juggle work with all the bugs?

7catsisnotenough · 23/03/2024 17:24

Everyone is coming in at my place, despite their various lurgies 😞

It makes no sense to me - why come in and give it to everyone else?!

Cloud44 · 23/03/2024 17:25

I know, I guess there is now a bit of pressure to crack on as normal, maybe that’s why there is so much spreading around!

I've had to work through it. If I don't, I don't get paid.

How are you feeling today OP?

sl0th · 24/03/2024 15:54

I started yesterday with a throat that felt raw, by last night I had a violent, extremely mucousy cough. Today coughing even more, my head feels foggy and I feel a bit wiped out. Feels like I have a thick, tight band around my chest.

coughergal · 24/03/2024 22:23

@Cloud44 - I'm feeling better thanks. Hope everyone else with this awful bug is too

I am on week 4 and just starting to feel ok, it’s the worse illness I have ever had except covid in April 2020.

Nat6999 · 25/03/2024 00:44

I started in October, had multi courses of antibiotics & steroids, only recovered mid February. I lost2.5 stone in weight, my brother saw me last weekend & told my mum I still look poorly. I didn't have a cough, the infection was right in the bottom of my lungs, I was so breathless I dreaded going to bed, I got undressed in the bathroom & only had to walk 10 paces to my bedroom but was terrified I was going to pass out, I felt dizzy, my sight & hearing felt like I was going to faint. It was the most poorly I have ever been.

haveanothertea · 07/04/2024 08:24

I’m on week 2 now and I’ve never blown so much out of my nose, even when I had Covid.

Absolutely awful thick nasal congestion and bad chest.
This is no fun with asthma.
