I need to make a decision on new curtains and the quote I’ve got is about £7k for three windows!! Really not sure what to do so advice very welcome.
I’ve got an East facing bay and a single window in a bedroom. The light comes in terribly. I had wanted a voile on the inside and a blackout lined pair on top, with a pelmet.
The John Lewis guy said there’s no space for a second rail for the voile. Doing it with the pelmet takes 12 weeks(!!). Any thoughts? Shall I get blinds and a curtain on top? The windows do ideally need some sort of privacy cover as they look into the street and we get dressed here etc. But the blackout element is more important.
Victorian house, so want something vaguely in keeping.
