My ex suggested I buy a TV (when we were together) for when he came to stay as it would be something to do. I have never really liked TV’s and tried to explain this but he persuaded me. I wouldn’t have gotten one otherwise. This is rather petty but after we broke up he started asking me for the money he would spend coming to see me. But I pointed out that over all I had spent more on feeding him, him using my gas and electricity and data, and the little bits I would buy for him that he asked for. I also spent more on his birthday than he did for mine. I asked him to pay towards the TV at least and I told him it was £300. He never questioned the price. I just out of interest went to check exactly how much it was and it was actually £160. I don’t know why I always thought it was £300 and why I had that number in my head. Should I give this money back to him or keep it and never say anything?
