Scooter recommendations for an older child?

11yo DD has started going to the skate park with her friends, on their scooters. She wants a light weight scooter for her birthday, as hers is pretty heavy.

It's years since I bought a scooter - her's is a hand down. What should I be looking at? Thanks :)

Micro scooters. Solid and they have a range for older riders.

FWIW, we had the 3 wheeled version for the DC when they were little. (Just got rid of a very old one of those out of the shed recently!)

Are they worth the money? Do you know if they're decent for learning tricks on?

DD is tall for her age, about 5 foot. I wonder if I need an adult scooter for her?
