Dishwasher

I'm getting a dishwasher but having cold feet. The one I am looking at is £450 (Bosch). It's got to be integrated (it could be free standing under the cupboard but I want the naice door from my new build kitchen on the front) so there is additional cost for that.

Do I really want / need to spend £450 on the dishwasher or should I get a cheaper one?

I can afford it, but other things are delayed or sacrificed and I just want some confirmation that this is money well spent 😬

Bosch are a pretty good make. I've had Bosch dishwashers, washing machines and tumble dryers for years. All have gone on for years too, and I rarely have to replace them.

All are just under 10 years old now and, fingers crossed, going strong.

I often think you really get what you pay for.

I had a Bosh dishwasher and it lasted over 10 years. It was fab. I believe that Bosch now manufactures outside of Germany and their appliances aren't meant to be as good. Certainly their washing machines are rubbish IMO.

Definitely worth it. Bosch are great.

I can't comment on the make (mine is a Beko) but dishwashers in general are bloody awesome and imho money well spent Grin

OK thank you, feeling less fear of spending.

Honestly for me a dishwasher is a non negotiable I'll do all the other household jobs but hate washing up. I've had two Bosch dishwashers first lasted 12 years and I think is still going moved house and left it behind. New one is 6 years in - go for it

Get a good one. We have a cheaper one and it's driving me crazy leaving dried food stuck all over it and I can't figure out why!!!!!!

I love my Bosch dishwasher. I assume the one you are looking at is the Smart WiFi enabled one? If so, it's a great dishwasher but you can easily live without the Smart function, although they do save you money on water and energy.
