There's a man, I'm quite friendly with him and at Christmas we had a drunken snog, which for reasons that suited us both, we agreed would be a one off. Since then we've become closer and I hear from him most days, but it's strictly platonic/hobby related.

We're going out with a large group of friends tonight and he has offered to drive. He is picking me up and has so far offered lifts to 7 other people , who have declined because they've made their own arrangements.

So, he doesn't want to be alone with me, but is that because he's scared of me or him?

It’s because he sees you as a friend, nothing else. Listen to him and find someone who can meet your needs if you want more.

Or he is just nice and offered to drive as he is going to that way anyway, it's better for the planet and financially.

Maybe it's not about you at all, and he is just being nice.

If he's driving anyway, it makes sense for him to offer. then other people can have a drink if they wish.

But you've agreed it was a one off. Look elsewhere.
