Do you keep your car keys and house keys on the same key ring?

I used to but now we very rarely use the car so they are separate and kept in a drawer so DH or I can use if needed (we share a car).

ZipZapZoom · 22/03/2024 10:17

Both. The car keys have a house key attached to them so if you take the car you've always got a house key but we also have some house keys separate to the car keys.

I have all keys together, my house, moms house, nieces house, along with my car key. If I'm not using the car, I don't take a key, as I have one in a key safe.

Favouritefruits · 22/03/2024 10:23

Yes, never thought to have two sets of keys!

FortyFacedFuckers · 22/03/2024 10:27

I have mine together, my DH keeps his his house keys, car keys & work van keys all separate & spends half his life looking for them

SpringOfContentment · 22/03/2024 10:32

Nope.
DH (before he became DH) was adamant that the weight of house keys (we needed 4 for front door plus access from the drive) hanging off the car key in the ignition was really bad for the car in some unspecified way. On the basis of pick your battles, I've had them separate every since.

MagpiePi · 22/03/2024 10:33

No.
I walk to places quite a lot rather than driving so don't want to lug the car key and fob around all the time. I don't use a bag so it is easier to put them in my pockets.
