I have a whole day to myself in London next week! Staying over so will be out and about quite early and have until around 5.30. Staying in South Kensington. What would you do? Don't mind walking! Any great suggestions?

I was in South Kensington the other week! So I feel I am well placed to answer this lol. Two things spring immediately to mind.. the Natural History museum followed by a burger and fries at Honest Burgers (they do all sorts).

i would go to a gallery, somewhere fun for food and a scenic walk if good weather or window shopping if not.

If you're staying overnight try and see a show of some sort (musical, drama, stand up, dance... There is a lot to choose from)

South Ken you have all the museums and Kensington Gardens.

Or -

Take the Tube to Embankment, walk up to Traf Sq, look in the National Gallery or National Portrait Gallery, walk through St James's Park.

Or from Traf Squ get a No.15 bus to the Tower, sit upstairs and enjoy the ride. Or get off at St Paul's and have a wander around the City.

Or from Embankment have a walk along the river, north or south bank.

Or take a river trip on the Thames Clipper (Uber).

Or visit Foyle's in Charing X Road, Forbidden PLanet in Shaftesbury Avenue and Waterstone's in Gower Street.

What do you like doing? What are your interests? You don’t have to stick around South Ken. Where are you getting your train home from?

What sort of things do you like? How well do you already know London?

We recently did one of the curators talks at the V&a, i was surprised by how good it was. An hour, 3 things he loved, it was brilliant, so enthusiastic. Then lunch at carluccios.
