So i have about 8 pots to fill. Im absolutely useless at knowing anything about gardening.

What plants can i put in pots over the next week or so that will last?

Also is b&q good for plants or b&m /range.

Im sure last year i had pansies?

Bonus points for anything that may re flower next year? I can put in shed over winter to avoid frost

Hi @SneakySnakeEx. I love this time of year when we can think about plants, it really cheers me up. I would hold off doing anything for the next few days because there was talk of night time frost over the weekend (although depends where you live).

The Gardening board on MN is a valuable source of knowledge, I recommend asking your question on there for solid answers from expert gardeners!

At this time of year you can usually find pots of bulbs such as tulips about to flower which you can pop in and they should last more than a year - but you do need to leave their leaves on after they've finished flowering and feed for them to do well next year.

Too early to risk anything tender so pansies and violas are good to accompany them, or Bellis daisies. Another possibility is forget me nots - they are good at self seeding

Herbs can be fun, though they need different maintenance levels in pots. You can get some thyme that flower nicely, lavender obviously, sage survived over winter too.
