Plus size plane travel?

Hey everyone, I'm going on holiday soon - flying with TUI on a boeing 738-189. I'm a size 20 and I'm wondering if anyone a similar size has struggled with the seatbelt or seat width on a TUI flight? Did you need a belt extender?

Also I will be travelling with an infant on my lap. Can a belt extension be used with an infant attachment?

I think you'll be fine. I'm a size 20 and have never needed a seat belt extender. I can put the tray table down easily so think I'd be fine with a baby on my lap. Only issue is you can't have a seat belt extender and a baby seat belt together. So if you carry your weight differently to me and do need an extender then you might have a problem.

Are you travelling with anyone else? Can they take the baby?

I last travelled at size 22 (down to an 18 now! Yay me!) and didn’t need an extender. That was with EasyJet so I don’t imagine particularly generously sized seats…

I'd also say book a window or aisle seat. I completely avoid spilling onto the middle seat if I'm on the outside.
