Does anyone else play Waffle?

I've searched and can't find a thread. I much prefer it to Wordle!

I love the compliments that waffle pays you 👍

I do Waffle, but had never tried the Deluxe until now. Love that it lets you carry on trying until you get it out.

Octordle, daily, sequence and rescue

It's a wonder that I actually get any work done!

Who remembers playing Free Rice? I just searched and played it - haven't gone on it for years.
For anyone who doesn't know, you have to chose the correct definition of a word from a choice of 3. It starts very easy, but has an algorithm so gets harder until you start getting some wrong (for e.g. saponaceous).

I thought Free Rice was closed down. The app disappeared from my phone and is no longer in the app store. Can you still play it online?

oooh love this thread-tried combination last night-loved it but had to go to bed so will start afresh.

Off to see what rainbow is now. The poor dog will never get a walk in the morning at this rate!!!

@DancingFerret I looked at Combinations last night but def too late as went to bed.

I now go straight to the puzzle and don't get the instruction page-despite googling. Would you mind giving a quick explanation? I know th obvious-combine the bits-but there was def other information!?

The idea is to find words using the syllables shown. It's quite easy at first because some two-syllable words just jump out at you, but once you get into the longer words your eyes start to cross. Some of the words are quite obscure, so I just string unlikely looking bits to together. Also, infuriatingly, it sometimes doesn't recognise very ordinary words, e.g., today I found 'strained' and it said there was no such word.🙄 The numbers on the individual letters tell you how many more times they can be used.

At the top right of the box you'll see a question mark, which is where you'll find the instructions.

oh! I was thinking the number on the letters was a score like scrabble 😂

I used to play it. But then I stopped, as the amount of daily games I had going was getting crazy.

I now play just Squaredle, which I have never seen mentioned on here.

I'm struggling today; it's fiendish! Not a good one to start on. I do usually manage to finish, but only after leaving it and revisiting later in the day, which helps. Persevere.😙🙂
