Did anyone see this woman on the news being interviewed by the BBC at the Kremlin. Scarey stuff. She is a newspaper editor. Seems to think their way of not allowing any opposition is the right way and we're the ones who have got it wrong. She actually said we don't like you much really.

The immediate response to that is who gives a flying fuck if the UK is liked, as long as people fear us - and move on.

Yeah I saw that. It seems shocking and inappropriate but this is Russia we're talking about! They live by a totally different set of rules.

I don't disagree with much of that! On the other hand, Rishi Sunak doesn't have critics and dissenters jailed and murdered....

What does it matter? Russia invading Ukraine, another European country, and Russian revanchism and desire to regain its former 'sphere of influence' (read: neighbouring countries as client states, not sovereign countries) matters.

Margarita Simonyan, who thinks one should lead one's life in such a way that Putin dances at your wedding, not liking the UK doesn't matter.

Even Putin's "we will go to paradise and they (Russia's enemies) will die like dogs" doesn't matter in itself in the way that it's 'not very positive' towards others, but it matters because apocalyptic rhetoric on the part of any leader is dangerous.

But you should watch this utter cunt Simonyan and some of the views she broadcasts. You should read the unbelievable audacity of their diplomats and commentators. The laughing and joking by russians who slag off the west (but still live here and send their children here to school)
