Recommend me a car

I can't see a motoring section so guess this is the place to put this?

I currently have a Skoda Karoq and although it has plenty of space and is good on fuel, it’s a 2wd and not great in muddy fields for local country shows, the floods or winter. I live in a small village, the road between the village we live and my sons school regularly floods and I also have to drive 10 miles to the station to commute to work 3 times a week. My last car was a BMW 3 series which was a 4wd and was brilliant in all weathers but wouldn’t fit the bikes and camping stuff in and the fuel consumption was high.

What car would you recommend? There is just the 2 of us but we often have bikes and camping things and often take my sister and 2 kids places (no car seats as they are older) so we would like 5 seats. I am not particularly attached to an suv and am open to any suggestions. I would be looking to spend no more than £22k (I don’t want a lease or HPI).

Estate 4wd.

Eg Subaru, Audi Allroad.

We have a MAzda CX5 which I love, not sure how good it would be off road though.

Toyota RAV4. We got it purely for carrying sports gear and other crap around - trips to the dump etc. Proper 4x4 with diff lock switch if you get really stuck in the mud.

Check when buying that you're not accidentally getting the new front wheel drive only one though. They are a bit cheaper.

at shows i see a lot of VW Tiguans and landrover, i also see Honda CRV's and they come highly recommended as hay and dog cars that are reliable and roomy.
