I'm not really sure what to do for the best.

She is off at least one day every week, she gets hysterical about going in.

If they are learning something and she's unsure she gets so upset and we have to practise here until she knows it.

She's very, very clever, as in she has a reading age of 13+ clever, is 2 months into piano lessons and is playing at the level of someone who's been at it for a year clever.

She's had some issues with one girl at school, which was sorted, now at different classes, but she really struggles with friendships in general.

She can't keep having all this time off, but I can't drag her in when she's like this. The last few months she's started getting a lot of mouth ulcers (full health check at the docs and she's physically well, he says they could be down to stress).

I have contacted the school and am waiting to hear back but I don't know what they can do, or what I should be asking for.

Moving schools would be a logistical nightmare as I have another child who is so happy and settled there.

I don’t know anything about SEN, hopefully someone will be along soo who does, but is there any way she could have some additional needs? My niece was diagnosed with autism at 9 and girls are very good at masking. It’s so hard to see your child unhappy at school when it’s such a big part of their life. Can she join any activities away from school to help her form different friendship groups? Sending hugs 💐
