I’ve got a lot going on at the moment, and tonight I just can’t get to sleep.

who else is awake? What can I do to sleep or at least be restful?

Sleep hypnosis podcast?

Morwenscapacioussleeves · 20/03/2024 03:22

Listen to a yoga nidra (you tube or podcast - I like the "yoga nidra & beyond" podcasts) & don't try to sleep just use it for the deep rest (& if you fall asleep it's a bonus)

Hope life lightens the load soon 💐

Sorry to hear you've got lots.going on

I'm on call for work so half expecting a phone call any moment, plus 2 non sleeping children, so I've had very very broken sleep. And now can't seem to drift off.

No advice, just sympathy! I expect being on my phone isn't helping 🤣

Black screen rain and thunder videos on YouTube always help me, hope you get some sleep 😴

Ooh lots of new ideas here - thank you.
I’m stressed and jumpy so finding it hard to relax.
maybe I’ll try an audiobook.

Do you work daytimes? If not, do whatever you need to get done (that it's possible to do at this time of night!). Then if you feel able to sleep later you can. Or lay in bed, be still and try to relax. That will give your body a rest, it's the next best thing to sleeping. If it's upsetting you that you can't sleep and you're getting agitated, that's only going to use up even more energy, so go watch something funny on TV or read a novel or take a bath. Anything that's relaxing and not stressful is better than laying there getting upset and stressing about still being awake. Sometimes I find a change of scene helps, no idea why but sometimes darkness, peace and a comfy bed just doesn't work for some reason. If you can fall asleep on the sofa with the lights on, that's still sleep.
