Has anyone used a device to monitor a baby's breathing/ heartbeat? Do they work and is there a make that you would recommend?

I had a snuza, not fool proof but it helped me not to worry as much

Thank you, I'll have a look.

Hi OP. Why do you want one? Is it for your own baby?

I used an angel care with my first (didn't bother with the second 😳😬) it gave a few false alarms when she managed to really wiggle enough to get off it, and oh god the noise in the dead of night!! Few times I picked her up to feed without pressing the button too.. perfect way to ruin a dream feed!!

I had a Snuza too. Seemed to give fewer false alarms than the pad type ones.
not a substitute for safe sleep practices.
And absolutely can make you worry too much - but if you're thinking of one you're probably already worrying!

@SureLook , it's for my grandchild, he's in GOSH having had heart surgery at 2 days old.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! Hope all has gone well. I only asked as I never used one but friends did and they said it made them more anxious. Have the hospital suggested getting one?
