Anyone had issue with Uber eats refunds?

I ordered some food from McDonalds via Uber eats. An item was missing worth more than £5 but Uber eats will only refund me £2.21.
they refuse to give me customer service details or any way to complain.
I know it’s only a few quid but it’s the principle, I simply can’t understand how this can be ok! Anyone else had similar?

I've stopped using them at all. Refusing to refund for cold/awful food. A tiny refund for food that took 90 mins to arrive. Uber Eats customer service is so shit.

Yep, I did a clawback as I'd paid PayPal. 6 months later the cheeky fuckers took the money back off me when I was using the normal Uber app to pay for a taxi.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! The people I spoke to on the phone just read from a script over and over and just ignored what I was saying. I’m never using them again. It’s not the missing food, or the inappropriate refund really, as it was only a few quid, it’s the complete lack of giving a shit and unbelievably bad customer services.

Exactly the same thing happened to me! Did a clawback on PayPal and Uber taxi tried to get it back off me when I tried to book! I don’t use either now.

I stopped using them. I had about £7 worth food missing from McDonald's and UberEats refused to refund as they had refunded me previously for another order that their driver either stole or dropped off midway as it never arrived and tracking just went dead out of nowhere. Didn't order food since then anyway but not sure who am going to use when I do next time.

Never had an issue with Uber eats but with Deliveroo. My delivery never turned up and they said the driver had delivered it. I was like are you kidding me?!? when speaking to their customer service. They refused a refund after reading from their script and refusing to engage in a normal conversation.

I just started quoting legislation at them “Failure to deliver within a reasonable time and after the agreed deadline is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Time is now essential. Please deliver the item as soon as possible. If you do not, I will expect a full refund.”

I eventually got my refund. CAB website has loads of handy templates.

Had to stop using them as twice we had an item missing from our order (same each time). The first time we were refunded easily but the second time we got no refund so went to PayPal who refunded the missing item. Tried to order a third time, several weeks between each order, but they wouldn't let me order until I had paid IN FULL again for the previous order. I was not going to pay twice for an order so haven't ordered since. Ubereats are thieves and the driver had a liking for peshwari nans.
