Flowers a notch up from Waitrose

DS’s form tutor has been off sick for a a few weeks and someone else has stepped up to cover for the half hour before lessons begin and again for ten minutes post-lunch, not to mention taking on responsibility for any pastoral issues that arise.

We’ve had a parental whip-round to get her some flowers as a thank you next week and have £30. The best ones I’ve seen in our local (smallish) Waitrose cost £18, & they look very nice, but not that large. The local florist starts bouquets at £35 but she apologetically explained to me that I would not get much for that, and that her ‘proper’ bouquets start at £50, which is a fair step up from the money we have collected.

I could get her some chocs with the remaining £12, but seeing as sugar is the new smoking I’m not sure how welcome they would be.

Could I have some suggestions please?

A plant is more eco-friendly than cut blooms. But I've used Bloom & Wild a few times. Good value & last well.
