Offered council property

I have been made an offer for a council property. The viewing is on Monday and they’ve said I can sign up there and then If I wish to accept. Before that they will be doing a home visit at my current house. Does anyone know what happens during this visit? Do they check all the rooms of my current house etc. thank you.

Currently private renting

If you are private renting it will probably be to check the property condition, i.e. you are not a hoarder or living in piles of dirty nappies and dog poo and that you have kept reasonable care of the property you are in currently.
